FAQ
Common questions.
The product
- What is Ever & After?
- A wedding planning app: guests and households, RSVPs, budget and expenses, vendors and venues, the occasions around the day, a seating chart for every room, and tasks, in one place, with an AI layer that reads your real wedding and helps you act on it. It's built for couples planning their own wedding (and the planners and friends helping them).
- How is this different from the free planner on a wedding website?
- Those tools are the same for every couple: one checklist, one budget template, and a guest list that never talks to either. Ever & After holds the whole wedding, every household, every occasion, every room's seating chart, and every dollar paid or still owed, and the AI features read only that data. What comes back cites your dates, your vendors, and your counts.
- When can I sign up?
- Not yet. There's no waitlist, and nothing here asks for your email address. When we open, you'll name your date and start your guest list.
- What does the AI actually do?
- Nine things today: builds a personalized task list with real due dates, picks the three things that matter most this week (as notes on your real tasks), optimizes your budget with the math shown, builds a starting budget from what you care about, drafts vendor emails, drafts RSVP follow-ups, seats a whole room in one pass, turns your seating notes into sit-together and keep-apart rules, and reviews a finished chart for problems. Every output is labeled AI-generated, and nothing applies or sends without your review.
- Can the AI be wrong?
- Yes, and we say so right next to every output. Treat suggestions as starting points, not recommendations: double-check important details, review drafts before sending, and remember budget guidance is informational, not professional financial advice.
- Does it send emails to my guests or vendors?
- No. The AI drafts; you copy the draft into your own email (or open your mail app with it pre-filled) and send it yourself. Nothing leaves the app without you.
- What happens after the wedding?
- The app changes shift. For the first two weeks you're simply married: the numbers stay as they are, but the overdue flags and warning washes go quiet. After that it settles into a record: thank-yous sent, anything still owed, whatever's left over from the planning, with your correspondence opening on thank-yous. When the wrap-up is done, the wedding can be kept as a keepsake: everything stays, nothing nags.
- Can my partner or planner use it too?
- Yes. Invite them to your wedding and you plan from the same data. One plan covers everyone planning the wedding: contributors on a Premium wedding get every Premium feature with the creator's plan.

Data & privacy
- What happens to my data when I use AI features?
- The content you provide (budget details, vendor information, message context) is sent to Anthropic, our AI service provider, to generate a response. Anthropic processes it on our behalf and doesn't use it to train AI models. The full picture is in our Privacy Policy.
- Is my wedding data private?
- Yes. Your wedding is visible only to you and the people you invite to it. We don't sell your data, and your vendor notes never go into an outgoing email draft.
